I had an afternoon of spinning lesson today, it was lovely and I'm definately more confident in what I'm doing. I'm going to get teh jacob batt ready to go so i can get it knitted up into something for someone.
Now I really need to get my own wheel sorted as I'm sure the extended period I have had my loan one for is coming to an end. On the off chance anyone knows of an Ashford Standard going for a song please let me know :)

Brilliant, I found my lesson day was a great help, looking forward to seeing your homespun wool soon. I'm having a go with some Alpaca fleece from our Guild at the moment - very different to spin.
There are always wheels on ebay but some go for quite a lot of money unless you are there at the right time, there's a couple up reasonable at the moment from Somerset but not an Ashford. Good luck, hope you find what you want.
