Mutant centipede?

Kailen found a double headed centipede today, not sure how usual this is!
While one head and half the legs were scurry one way the other wanted to go in the opposite direction. It was very weird to watch the power struggle.

'Super' Moon

This months full moon photo was a little bit of a disaster, if I had taken the camera out the night before I would have a stunning photograph on a perfectly crisp clear night but maybe the chaos of the moon is reflected in the distortion of the image.

Gruffalo story basket

Thought I'd post this while I remembered, I was reading a blog here  http://phoebedot.blogspot.com/ and commented about our Gruffalo story basket and found the photo so here we go....
We had owl, fox and the gruffalo I just had to make a snake and a mouse from felt, we used our little logs for a logpile house, a felt tree for the owl, part of the rainbow stacker as the entrance to fox's underground house, a felt pond and more logs for the lake and rocks.

The gruffalo is beyond popular here and this adds a little more to it. I had good intentions of doing a different one every week but have to say the wicker basket has been appropriated for something else and we haven't done it for a few weeks. I must retreive it!

Eden

Project this time, we went last week, the boys were a little scared at first of the T-Rex but curiosity beat fear hands down.

They also enjoyed the skating rink.

Edan 3rd birthday

A few pictures from his 3rd birthday today

A carefully photoshopped card to show him driving a tractor and hay baler, he was very pleased!

After the cake he decided he'd lick the ganache off the beaters !

I'm quite sad he's growing up and he is moving ever further away from being my baby but he is an endearing soul with a wicked sense of humour.
